2 days on foot, 3 castles, rocks and an extraordinary garden

Escape to the land of Alsace's medieval castles, in the Transfrontier Biosphere Reserve.

Let yourself be guided for 2 days by an experienced guide with a passion for heritage and nature, who will show you exceptional castles, secret forests with their flora and fauna, and take you to an extraordinary garden.

These 2 days are the perfect way to let off steam with family and friends and discover a fantastic castral heritage.

Practical information

These are not sporting hikes.
This program is accessible to anyone who loves nature and discovering castral heritage.
Children from 5-6 years depending on capacity (prices on request).

Program/Itinerary

RDV at the Fleckenstein parking lot: your guide will take you on the charcoal-burning path and up to Fleckenstein, the emblematic castle of the northern Vosges.
Picnic lunch provided, in a beautiful setting, followed by a legend break at the Maidenbrunnen spring before discovering Hohenbourg castle.
Return to your vehicle at the end of the APM, then off to the village of Obersteinbach, where you'll stay in a charming bed & breakfast (or equivalent).
Dinner on site or nearby (depending on dates).

After a delicious breakfast, you'll meet your guide at 10 a.m. for a guided tour of the Northern Vosges, with its unique ecosystem. You'll discover the castle of Petit Arnsberg, high above the typical village.
Then picnic in an extraordinary garden, a sanctuary for biodiversity, where the "designer gardener" will honor you with a guided tour of the plants and insects he has been sheltering and protecting since 2015.
4pm: End of the adventure!

This price includes

2 days (approx. 6 hours per day) with an experienced guide, a native of the area and a specialist in local heritage and the flora and fauna of the Northern Vosges.
