Discover 3 Etoiles Terrestres: experience the art of fire!

Immerse yourself in the world of master glassmakers, with visits to 3 exceptional sites in the heart of the wild forests of the Vosges du Nord.

You'll only have to walk, drive or cycle a few kilometers to discover the magic of this world-famous adventure. An industrial and artistic adventure like no other.

Your quest for the "Etoiles Terrestres" will take you first to explore the exceptional cultural heritage of Alsace at Lalique in Wingen sur Moder, then to the Manufacture St Louis in St Louis les Bitche and finally to Meisenthal in the Moselle region. On day 3, you'll take a forest bath under the guidance of an ecosystem therapist.

You'll immerse yourself in the forest, the wood, the ferns, the sand... because that's where this whole glass adventure began. You'll get closer to the very essence of this land!

The program for Day 3 can be swapped: Forest bath in the afternoon and spa in the morning, depending on dates and hotels.

GUIDE / TOUR LEADER

Your sophrologist guide, a forest therapy practitioner whose activities have been awarded the "Valeur Parc" label, will introduce you to osmosis with the surrounding nature, so that you become a "passer-by in Nature". Relaxation guaranteed!

A supplement of €10 per person is charged on certain public holidays.

Program/Itinerary

Arrive by train or car at Wingen sur Moder in Alsace.
To immediately immerse yourself in the crystal theme, we've arranged a lunch in a magnificent Napoleon III mansion, set in a lovely wooded park. You'll be delighted by the quality of the meal in this magical setting, steeped in LALIQUE creations.
After lunch, if you wish, take a short hike (with roadbook) around the village, following in the footsteps of the glassmakers. Then, in the APM, visit the Musée Lalique and its gardens. Admire over 650 works (art nouveau jewelry, perfume bottles, crystal tableware, etc.) by René Lalique and his successors.
Evening and overnight in Wingen sur Moder, with dinner at your own discretion (suggestions for good restaurants in the area).

After breakfast, you're off to the rural village of St Louis les Bitche in Lorraine. You'll visit the Grande Place Musée St Louis, home to France's oldest crystal works (now owned by the Hermès Group). The Manufacture Saint Louis will amaze you with its mix of traditional and contemporary pieces. Hot-worked pieces can be viewed from specially-designed walkways.
Lunch on your own in the area.
The afternoon will be devoted to the Meisenthal glassmaking site, which has been completely refurbished. The tour will amaze you. There's an exhibition gallery featuring Gallé masterpieces, and a workshop dedicated to demonstrations by glassblowers. Don't miss the boutique with its famous Christmas baubles (collector's items).
Evening and overnight stay in Meisenthal or La Petite Pierre (depending on dates).
Dinner on your own.

Then, to conclude this artistic escapade, you'll take a rejuvenating forest bath, supervised by an ecosystem therapist, to soak up all this glass adventure and the rich forests of the Vosges du Nord!
Finally, you can take advantage of your hotel's facilities -spa, swimming pool-.
You'll still be able to enjoy a nice free ride (roadbook) on the APM, and the adventure of Les Etoiles Terrestres comes to an end!

Everything was great

Thanks to Traces VDN for organizing our Souffleurs de verres weekend. Great restaurants, an unusual place to spend the night, in short, everything was top-notch.
