Who are our services intended for?

Who are these trips for? Our trips are suitable for all ages. Whether you’re a casual or regular hiker, our short trips are perfectly manageable, even for beginners. For pet owners: your dog is welcome on hotel stays.

The terrain: The Northern Vosges are not particularly challenging or technical. However, for a multi-day hike, you will need a fair amount of stamina. The trails are very well marked by the Club Vosgien [link]. We provide you with a comprehensive roadbook detailing the route, stages, and cultural or practical points of interest. For those comfortable using a hiking app, we also provide GPX tracks.

What does a typical stay actually look like?

We’ll communicate with you (via WhatsApp, phone, or email) in French, English, or German to tailor your trip to your specific needs. Once your reservation is confirmed and paid for, you’ll receive all your travel documents before departure. Our agency, Traces, handles all bookings based on your package: accommodations, luggage transport, activities, tours, and half-board. Upon your arrival in Alsace, all you have to do is enjoy yourself: everything is already organized and paid for, and we remain fully available throughout your entire stay.

What's included

The price includes accommodation in bed-and-breakfasts or hotels depending on the package selected, as well as half-board where applicable. It also includes the transport of your heavy luggage (up to 13 kg per person) during the tour: picked up at the train station on the first day, handled between each stage, and delivered directly to you at the train station on the last day. Also provided are detailed travel documents (vouchers), a daily roadbook, the GPX track of the itinerary for a mobile app, as well as admission to certain heritage sites and activities depending on the package. Finally, telephone assistance is available 7 days a week.

The benefits for you

  • Save time: A fully organized package (accommodation, meals, tours, itinerary, and GPX tracks).
  • Peace of Mind: 24/7 support and carefully planned itineraries. You also benefit from our Atout France certification: a legal guarantee that protects your payments and certifies our professionalism, ensuring a safe and secure trip.
  • Comfort: We’ll transport your heavy luggage at every stop along the way, and we carefully select accommodations and trusted partners.

Mythical trails

Rocks, remains of castles and natural wonders punctuate every itinerary, from mythical trails like the GR 53 to more intimate paths. Make the most of it and discover new things, accessible to hikers of all levels. Take advantage of the well-marked trails, on your own or with a guide, to explore without the risk of getting lost.

Did you know?

The figures are mind-boggling! 2,600 km of signposted trails, including the famous GR53, 40 fortified castles, almost 130,000 hectares, including 16,000 hectares of protected areas, 1 national nature reserve, 1 regional "rock and peat" nature reserve, 8 Natura 2000 sites and over 1,200 km of waterways - here's your playground for recharging your batteries and rediscovering your wild soul.

The song of the forests

On a hike, everything is within reach! Discover the birds; observe them with discretion and listen carefully to their songs. The impressive black woodpecker will capture your attention as it hammers away at the tree trunks, creating welcoming refuges for the pigeon, the nuthatch and even the mysterious tawny owl.

Respect the indications (nesting, integral biological reserves...) to avoid disturbing the hosts whose territory it is.

You're tolerated in these places, but you're just passing through their house!

Several centuries of nature

The beeches, Scots pines and oaks, some of which are over 400 years old, are home to an abundance of flora and fauna, which you may be able to discover if you keep a low profile, slow your pace and observe the exceptional ecosystem around you. There's little chance of seeing the big predators like deer, wolves, wild boar or lynx, but deer and foxes can be spotted more easily.
